** Update to EPC Medicare Billing Fees  ** 

Dear Client,

We are writing to let you know about some upcoming changes to the way EPC Medicare appointments will be billed at Bundoora Physiotherapy Clinic from July 1st.

We have always aimed to keep physiotherapy services as accessible as possible. However, due to increasing costs and our commitment to continuing to provide high-quality care, there will be some changes to our EPC billing structure.

From July 1st, the Medicare EPC rebate will remain $61.80.

Patients with a valid Pension Card or Health Care Card will continue to be bulk billed for EPC appointments during our designated bulk-billing hours (9:30am – 3pm | Mon-Fri)

For patients who do not have a Pension Card or Health Care Card, a gap fee will apply. This gap is the difference between the Medicare rebate and our standard appointment fee:

Initial EPC appointment Standard fee: $110 Medicare rebate: $61.80 Gap fee: $48.20

Follow-up EPC appointment Standard fee: $100 Medicare rebate: $61.80 Gap fee: $38.20

Bulk-billed EPC appointments will only be available between: 9:30 am and 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Pensioners and Health care card holders eligible for bulk billing but would prefer to attend outside these hours can still book an appointment, but the gap fee will apply.

We understand that changes to fees can be difficult, and this decision has not been made lightly. Our goal is to continue providing experienced treatment and the high standard of service our patients have relied on for many years.
